Restaurant staff scheduling
Staff scheduling in Menuté is a weekly calendar with every team member's shifts, by role: waiter, chef, bartender, host and manager. You set how many shifts each role needs per day, and the calendar marks the days with fewer shifts than that. Staff request time off from their own account, you approve or reject it, and approved time off shows on that person's shifts. It is part of the Pro plan, at €39 per month.
How it works
- 1
Add your team
Invite each person by email and give them a role. From the invitation they create their own Menuté account.
- 2
Say how many shifts you need
For each day of the week, set how many waiter, chef, bartender and host shifts you need.
- 3
Put the shifts on the calendar
Add and edit shifts week by week. A shift that overlaps another of the same person's on the same day is not saved.
- 4
See where you are short
The calendar marks the days with fewer shifts than you asked for, and a shift belonging to someone on time off is labelled as such.

Frequently asked questions
- Which plan includes staff scheduling?
- Pro, at €39 per month. Starter includes neither staff accounts nor scheduling.
- What is the difference between staff accounts and scheduling?
- An account gives a person access to Menuté, with their role. Scheduling is the calendar where you put their shifts and see on them when the person is on time off. Both are in Pro and work together.
- How do staff request time off?
- From their profile in Menuté: they pick the type (vacation, sick leave, personal or other), the dates and, if they like, a reason. You see the request and approve or reject it.
- Does it warn me when a day is short of shifts?
- Yes, once you have set coverage requirements. The calendar marks the days where a role has fewer shifts than you asked for. Managers are not counted towards coverage.
- Can I schedule the same person for two overlapping shifts?
- No. If a new shift overlaps another of the same person's on the same day, Menuté does not save it and tells you which shift it clashes with.
