We put side by side three QR digital menus for Romanian restaurants that publish their price on their site: doXmenu, MeniuDigital and Menuté. doXmenu and MeniuDigital cost less per month. doXmenu can also be paid monthly, MeniuDigital only for 6 or 12 months. Menuté costs more, is paid monthly and adds a kitchen display, staff accounts and staff scheduling. On the pages we read, none of them says it issues a fiscal receipt, and Menuté works alongside your cash register.

- doXmenu lists EUR 12.99 per month on the yearly plan or EUR 14.99 month to month (checked 17 October 2026). MeniuDigital lists about 83 lei per month, paid as 1000 RON for 12 months, plus a free plan for small menus (checked 16 October 2026). Menuté Starter is €19 per month and Pro €39 per month, excluding VAT. We cannot tell whether the others include VAT, so compare the final invoice.
- Does a digital menu replace the cash register?
- No. On the pages we read, neither doXmenu nor MeniuDigital says it issues a fiscal receipt, and Menuté does not. Menuté works alongside your cash register: the order reaches the kitchen, and you keep issuing the fiscal receipt from your cash register.
- Why are other providers missing from the table?
- The table only has providers whose price we saw on their own site, with a date. POS systems such as Freya POS or boogiT do not publish prices; the offer comes after a conversation. The MENU TIGER digital menu page (qrcode-tiger.com) showed no price on 17 October 2026, and the price we had seen came from a search result, not from their site.
- What does Menuté do beyond a QR menu?
- In Pro: table orders confirmed by staff, a kitchen display, waiter call alerts, staff accounts and scheduling. Stock management is in the Business plan, which we set up on request.
- How recent is the information in the table?
- We checked doXmenu on 17 October 2026. For MeniuDigital, the price and free plan were checked on 16 October 2026 and the other rows come from 12 October 2026. Plans change, so check them before you decide.
