Table ordering: guests order from their phone

Table ordering lets guests build an order on their phone after scanning the QR code on their table. The order goes to your staff, who confirm it, and it then appears on the kitchen display. It is part of the Pro plan at €39 per month, and it stays off until you switch it on.

How it works

    The guest scans the table code

    The QR code on the table opens the menu with that table already selected.

    The guest builds the order

    They add dishes to a cart, can write a note on each dish (for example, no onions) and a note for the whole order, and can add a name if they want.

    The guest sends it

    The order reaches your staff as a request from that table.

    Your team confirms it

    Someone on your team confirms the order in the dashboard. Confirmed orders appear on the kitchen display.

    The kitchen cooks, staff serve

    The kitchen marks the order as preparing, then ready. Staff mark it served and record whether the table paid in cash or by card at the table.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan includes table ordering?
Pro, at €39 per month. Starter, at €19 per month, does not include it.
Do guests need an app?
No. They scan the QR code on the table and order in the phone browser.
What happens after a guest sends an order?
Your staff get it as a request from that table. Once someone confirms it in the dashboard, it appears on the kitchen display.
Do guests pay through Menuté?
Guests pay the restaurant as they normally do. Staff record in the dashboard whether the table paid in cash or by card at the table.
Can guests write notes such as no onions?
Yes. There is a note field on each dish, which shows under that dish on the kitchen display, and one for the whole order, which your staff see on the orders screen.
Can I turn table ordering off?
Yes. It is off by default, and you switch it on or off in the restaurant settings.
